The powerful women take the stage!

At Music Week Poland, we take the future of music very seriously. That’s why we are thrilled and proud to work with the incredible initiative: Lucciola Ladies Rock Camp. Lucciola is a rock workshop for women aged 18 to 98, including those who have never tried their hand at music before. The program lasts five days, during which four bands are formed, culminating in a final concert. The instructors are experienced female rock musicians, not only seasoned performers but also skilled group facilitators. The core of the workshop consists of instrument lessons (bass guitar, drums) and vocal training.

The organizers of Lucciola are part of the international Girls Rock Camp network and have been active for over 20 years. During this time, they’ve run 18 rock camps for girls and adult women across Poland. The founder of Lucciola Ladies Rock Camp is Ewa Langer, President of the Women’s Transmission Association. „I am very happy that once again I can be part of this process and witness how many powerful women take the stage to share their music.” declares Ewa.

The concert, where we will hear and see the first performances of bands formed at Lucciola during Music Week Poland, will take place on Sunday, June 29, at the SPATiF club, at 3 PM. After the performances, we invite you to a special DJ set by Sylwia Chutnik – a renowned cultural expert, writer, columnist, social activist, literature promoter, and punk vocalist. Sylwia once took part in Lucciola too!

Before the girls perform at SPATiF, they’ll be honing their rock ‘n’ roll souls and hearts in the professional, comfortable, and fully equipped Safe’n’Sound rehearsal rooms — designed by musicians for musicians (https://salaprobsns.pl/).
