His most recent initiative is the creation of the Barcelona Music Tech Hub (BMTH). The first non-profit group of companies, institutions and other actors dedicated to the music tech sector in Spain. This hub represents the common interests of various hardware, software and service providers in the field of music technology in Spain. Currently with 96 members and counting in which we can highlight companies like Bmat, Sónar, Sonosuite, Unison Rights, Voicemod, Pibox, Breakevent to name a few. Barcelona Music Tech Hub is also co-founder of Music Tech Europe, a pan-european network of music tech hubs around Europe.
In the Music Tech field, Jose is a co-founder at B2B SaaS company Sonosuite and B2C music company La Cupula Music, both companies dedicated to bring innovation to the music business sector.
Entrepreneurial spirit in the musical field that throughout his career has worked in various areas that have led him to create a record company, a music publishing company, an online record sales platform in 1999 (moviedisco.com) and a recording studio “Grabaciones Míticas” where BUSHIDO project (Bunbury, Carlos Ann, Morti and Shuarma was born, published by EMI in 4 countries. He started his career out as a promoter of Barcelona nightlife running an electronic music club (Moviedisco), where Bjork presented his album “Homogenic” live-act, and the most important Djs as Laurent Garnier, Jeff Mills, John Acquaviva and Ritchie Hawtin among others, and has acted as an artistic booking representative for known DJs and producers such as Felix Da Housecat and Howie B, at late 90’s.
