Based between London and Berlin, Aysha has worked in the cultural sector for over 20 years with extensive experience in both UK and European contexts. Aysha currently works in the film and music industries in various capacities. From writing and copy editing, running communications channels, to working on and developing inclusive recruitment and training strategies and community outreach, her work has been shaped by social justice values with an emphasis on community. Naturally, this has extended to using her personal and professional experiences in consulting on DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility). Varying practice of this includes the implementation of inclusive values in a HR capacity. Working to strategise and plan has been crucial in working towards DEIA goals on a very practical organisational level and how this fits with a wider, national and cultural level.
In her current role at Keychange as Research Manager, Aysha works on developing reporting systems for global pledge signatories (consisting of festivals, conferences, and other music industry companies and organisations) in tracking their gender equity goals and impact of the pledge, whilst overseeing other aspects of the Keychange Leaders project. With a lived experience and consciousness of diversity and inclusion at the core of all she does, Aysha’s work with Keychange and beyond has naturally aligned with these values, alongside her love for the arts.
